Description

Blackleg Vaccine

• Blackleg vaccine suspension for injection of cattle and sheep.
• For the active immunisation of cattle and sheep to reduce clostridial disease against C. chauvoei.
• The onset of immunity is two weeks after the primary course and although direct challenge studies have not been performed the duration of immunity data, based on serological data, is 1 year.
• For the passive immunity of calves and lambs via colostrum from vaccinated dams to reduce clostridial diseases caused by C. chauvoei.
• The duration of passive immunity is 8 weeks in calves and 2 weeks in lambs.
• Blackleg vaccine available in 50ml bottle.

Dosage

• Cattle – 2 x 2ml, 6 weeks apart.
• Sheep – 2 x 1ml, 6 weeks apart.
• For subcutaneous injection.
• Shelf life after opening the immediate packaging is 8 hours.
