Description

Fluconix 340

  • Fluconix 340 has an active substance of nitroxynil 34.0 w/v (as N-ethylglucamine salt) suitable to use on sheep and cattle.
  • Fluconix 340 is indicated for the treatment of fascioliasis (infestation of mature and immature Fasciola hepatica) in cattle and sheep.
  • It is also effective, at the recommended dose rate, against adult and larval infestations of Haemonchus contortus in cattle and sheep and Haemonchus placei, Oesphagostomum radiatum and Bunostomum phlebotomum in cattle.
  • However, Fluconix 340 should not be regarded or used as a broad spectrum anthelmintic.

Method and Route of Administration:

  • For subcutaneous administration.
  • The standard dose for nitroxynil is 10 mg/kg BW.
  • Sheep: 0.75 ml per 25kg BW.
  • Cattle: 1.5 ml per 50kg BW.

Withdrawal Period:

  • Meat and Offal: Cattle: 60 days.
  • Meat and Offal: Sheep: 49 days.
