Description

Ivomec Classic

  • For the treatment and control of internal and external parasites of cattle and sheep.
  • 10 mg/ml sterile non-aqueous solution for injection of ivermectin.
  • Ivermectin belongs to the avermectin (3-AV) class of anthelmintic endectocides.
  • Ivermectin paralyses and ultimately kills parasitic nematodes, arachnids, insects and warbles by affecting the nervous system of these parasites.
  • At therapeutic doses, ivermectin has no adverse effect on cattle since it does not readily penetrate their central nervous systems.
  • This is the reason for the excellent safety margin in cattle.
  • Ivomec classic is a low volume injection.
  • Ivomec classic injection for cattle and sheep is highly effective in controlling internal and external parasites at a dose volume of 1ml per 50kg bodyweight.
  • It can be administered quickly and easily.
  • Ivomec classic provides broad-spectrum treatment and control against roundworms, lungworms, eyeworms, warbles, mites and sucking lice.
  • Ivomec classic may also be used as an aid in the control of biting lice (Damalinia bovis) and the mange mite (Chorioptes bovis).
  • Ivomec classic has a wide safety margin at the recommended dose rate and has no adverse effect on breeding performance.
