Shepherdess Lamb Milk Feeding Instructions
- Mix 200g of Shepherdess lamb milk in 800ml of water to make 1 litre of lamb milk replacer (20% solids).
- Take two-thirds of the required amount of water at a temperature of 45 Degrees Celsius.
- Add the required amount of milk powder to the water and mix thoroughly.
- Make up to the full quantity by adding cold or warm water and whisk lightly.
- Feed at between 40 – 42 Degrees Celsius.
Weaning
- Wean at approximately 35 – 42 days, when solid feed intake is a minimum of 250g per lamb per day.
- Weaning weight should be 2.5 times the birth weight.
